The South West Genomic Service has a Transformation and Improvement Function. This works with the SW Genomics Laboratory Hub, South West Clinical Genetics Services and the wider NHS in the South West to ensure the benefits of genomics are available to the whole of the South West, in line with the NHS Genomics Strategy.
We deliver genomic testing according to the National Genomic Test Directory, ensuring patients across the South West have equal access to the latest advances in genomic medicine, with testing that supports faster diagnoses and more personalised treatments.
We also support workforce development through education and help incorporate genomics into patient care pathways.
