The South West Genomic Medicine Service is proud to host regular education events to support healthcare professionals. Whether you are looking to expand your rare disease knowledge, or are exploring ways to embed cancer genomics into your daily practice, our carefully tailored events offer the perfect balance of hands-on learning, knowledge sharing, and workshops designed to build your confidence and skillset.
Where are events based, and can anyone join?
Some events are accessible to healthcare professionals across the country, while others are specific to the South West region, a particular specialty, or a specific role. These are often in-person training courses, although we also offer some online events.
The events listed here are mainly for healthcare professionals, but we do run regular Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) events. Learn more about how you can get involved here.
Who hosts the events?
We often partner with other Genomic Medicine Services across the UK to bring together a wealth of expertise, share best practices, and create opportunities for networking and collaboration with colleagues from different regions and specialties. These partnerships help ensure our events are not only informative but also practical, inspiring, and directly applicable to your day-to-day practice.
