The NNHS England Genomic Medicine Service network is a network of seven regional Genomic Medicine Services, each responsible for coordinating and delivering genomic testing for a particular part of the country. Together we are delivering the NHS Genomics Strategy, which focuses on four priorities: embedding genomics across all levels of care, delivering equitable testing for better outcomes, harnessing data and digital innovation, and advancing research to rapidly implement new discoveries.

The National Test Directory
The national genomic test directory specifies which genomic tests are commissioned by the NHS in England, the technology by which they are available, and the patients who will be eligible to access to a test. Genomic Laboratory Hubs
Genomic laboratory services are delivered through seven Genomic Laboratory Hubs (GLHs), hosted by acute NHS Trusts. They provide core genomic testing for rare diseases and cancer within their regions, as well as specialist testing across multiple regions based on expertise.

Genomic Medicine Service Alliances
The NHS Genomic Medicine Service Alliances provide strategic leadership and collaboration to embed genomics into mainstream healthcare. They bring together clinical expertise, operational and digital resources, and key partners across the NHS to ensure equal access to genomic testing. They also support workforce development and help incorporate genomics into patient care pathways.
